
The Reverend Julian Mario Borda
Father Julian Borda has been the Vicar of St. Thomas since June of 2022. Fr. Julian is a native of Dallas who has also, over the years, lived in Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Oxford, England. A lifelong Episcopalian, he received a calling to the priesthood at age 14, while training to become a summer camp counselor at Camp Allen in Navasota, Texas. Ever since, he has been passionate about preaching the Gospel, pastoring a flock, and studying theology.
Fr. Julian has a BA in History from the University of Chicago and a BA in Theology and Religion from Wycliffe Hall at the University of Oxford, as well as a Certificate of Anglican Studies from Wycliffe College in Toronto. He was ordained a deacon on October 23, 2021 and a priest on June 4, 2022 by Bishop George Sumner. Prior to joining St. Thomas, Fr. Julian served as Curate (Priest-in-Training) at St. Paul Episcopal Church in Waxahachie.
In his free time, Fr. Julian enjoys piano, croquet, road trips, classic films, and reading biographies. He very much looks forward to getting to know you!
